Appetite for Destruction by Guns N' Roses was released in 1987. This album is Guns N' Roses biggest album, and it's easy to tell why this album is awesome. This album is the quintessential hard rock album, in my opinion, and I don't think anything even remotely comes close to it. The cultural shock that this album provided on top of the timelessness it has works in Guns N' Roses favour because they haven't released many albums in their nearly 37-year history but still do tours and are still one of the biggest bands in history. I mean, come on, I don't think it's possible to hate GNR.
This album has everything from catchy guitar riffs to memorable drums. Axel Rose has such a distinct voice that no one would be able to effectively copy their style, and that is just insane, especially if you look at music today, where everyone is stealing everyone else's sound and style.
Appetite for Destruction has some of the most legendary songs on it, such as "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," and "Sweet Child O' Mine." I mean, you really can't ask for a better rock album, hit after hit after hit. There really isn't much I can say about this album because it is just so good. The replayability of how they managed to do this with their debut album is beyond me. They were destined for success.
This album can be loved by anyone, even if they dislike rock music in general, because it's just so good. No filler songs, no mediocre songs. All the songs on this album are brilliant, and you cannot fault them. Monday morning? this album. Saturday night? This album.
If you have not listened to this album, I cannot stress enough how much you need to listen to it. Seriously, you will not regret it.
As you can tell, I really love this album, which is why I'm going to give it the first 10/10 on this website. Thank you to those who suggested I review it because WOW, it is phenomenal.
